Coaching has always been on Whit’s heart, but she never imagined God would bring her to where she is today - getting the opportunity to instill what she learned through her softball career into young girls across Middle Tennessee. She has a passion of bringing up the next generation of female-athletes. She is a coach who works to create a culture that is not just about the physical aspect of softball, but the mental and faith based side.
Coach Whit strives to build confidence in each girl who crosses her path. When you train with her, you become family. She will love you, hold high expectations for you, challenge you and ultimately encourage you. One thing she requires is that you give 110% all the time of what you have left in your tank and you can expect she will do the same. Coach Whit understands we are all human, but sports is about pushing yourself forward everyday. Challenging you to raise your expectations for yourself to help you achieve the goals you work towards daily.
With her faith being the first and foremost thing in Coach Whit’s life, she feels called to show each athlete who Jesus is and how He is with us every step of the way…even in sports ☺ She connects with her athletes outside of lessons by hosting annual Christmas parties, showing up to cheer them on at games and being available to her athletes whenever they need her. She is not a “one hour a week” coach. She is 24/7 coach, mentor and friend.

"Coach Whit, as we call her is a vibrant young lady that has played the game at the highest levels and now focuses her attention on developing and mentoring young ladies that also want to accomplish the very same success at a high level. My appreciation for Whitney goes beyond just softball and can be found in her connection with each girl on their own level, all while surrounding them with structure, personal responsibility, commitment, leadership, take away assignments to continuously work and improve upon and a Christ centered heart for personal growth if your girl needs and/or wants it. I recommend and trust Coach Whit to teach and guide my daughter to be her best at all times on and off the field. Whether your girl is just learning or is looking for the proper teachings, if she is willing and dedicated to growing within the game of softball Coach Whit can get her there!! My kid has grown so much both inside and outside from her weekly lessons and within two years has become one of the best catchers in the nation for her 2026 graduating class."

"My daughter has been attending catching lessons with Whitney for approximately 6 months. Whitney prepares each lesson to ensure my daughter is progressing, she provides clear instruction on the execution and the purpose of drills, she is very quick to spot mechanics that may not be where they need to be and always has a solution to correct, and she praises when drills are completed correctly/she sees improvement but will also positively push my daughter if additional improvement can be made. As my daughter's catching skills have improved, she has more confidence in playing the position, and her high school coaches have commented on the improvement they are seeing as well. We could not be more pleased with the outcome of lessons thus far and highly recommend Whitney to others seeking instruction."

"Whitney has been coaching my now 16 year old daughter for about two years. In that time she has grown so much as a catcher and overall softball player, it is truly amazing the impact Whitney has had on her game. But most importantly to me, is that she has grown into a more confident lady. My daughter has overcome a lot of things her peers have not had to experience but through Whitney's coaching and mentoring has handled it all with dignity and grace."

“Coach Whitney Ennis has been a God Send for my daughter Makayla. Makayla has been working with Coach Whit for about three years and we couldn’t be happier with a skills coach. From day one with Coach Whit, Makayla immediately began growing as an athlete both physically and mentally. Coach Whit is always prepared to teach Makayla new drills and is quick to refresh her on older ones. Coach Whit takes time to explain how drills, footwork, or body motion should go if Makayla is having difficulties. Coach Whit pushes Makayla to be her best and doesn’t take less then 100%. Coach Whit invests 100% of herself into Makayla. Not only is Coach Whit a great softball coach but she is also a great life coach. Coach Whit has helped Makayla with advice on life lessons, recruiting questions, and has given feedback on difficult decisions she has dealt with. Academics are extremely important to Coach Whit and she pushes Makayla to preform in the classroom as well. She discusses grades and show concern and interest in Makayla’s schooling. Coach Whitney is so much more then a skills coach. She is a GREAT MENTOR and SISTER to Makayla that will last a lifetime!”
